Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Bitnnock, a peer-to-peer (P2P) marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of cryptocurrency and provides an escrow service to help protect both sides of a trade ("Bitnnock," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Bitnnock.
1. Who We Are, and What Bitnnock Is
Bitnnock is a marketplace, not a counterparty to your trades. We do not buy, sell, or set the price of any cryptocurrency ourselves. Instead, we let verified users publish Buy and Sell offers, connect with each other, and complete trades using our built-in escrow, trade chat, and dispute-resolution tools. You are solely responsible for the trades you enter into with other users.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use Bitnnock.
- You must be able to form a legally binding contract and must not be barred from using cryptocurrency or P2P trading services under the laws that apply to you.
- You may not use Bitnnock if you are located in, or are a resident of, a country or region where its use is prohibited by law, or if you are subject to sanctions or on a restricted-party list under applicable law.
- You may hold only one active Bitnnock account. Creating multiple accounts to evade limits, verification requirements, fees, or a suspension is a violation of these Terms.
3. Your Account and Verification
To use certain features, you'll need to verify your email address and mobile number, and in some cases complete identity verification ("KYC") by submitting a government-issued ID and other supporting information. We use this information to confirm you're a real person, to reduce fraud, and to meet our legal obligations around anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist-financing (CTF) compliance.
- You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information, and to keep it up to date.
- You're responsible for keeping your password and two-factor authentication (2FA) method secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
- We may request additional verification at any time, refuse to open an account, or limit, suspend, or close an account where we're unable to verify your identity or reasonably suspect misuse.
4. How the Marketplace Works
Sellers publish offers stating the cryptocurrency, price, accepted payment method, and trade limits. Buyers browse offers and open a trade request against one that suits them.
- Seller approval. Depending on the offer's settings, a seller may need to approve a trade request before it proceeds.
- Funding escrow. Once a trade is accepted, the seller funds escrow by locking the agreed amount of cryptocurrency with Bitnnock. The buyer is notified once escrow is funded and payment can proceed.
- Payment window. The buyer sends the agreed fiat payment directly to the seller, using the payment details the seller shares in the trade chat, within the offer's stated payment window.
- Release. After confirming receipt of payment, the seller releases the escrowed cryptocurrency to the buyer's Bitnnock wallet. Escrow exists to protect both sides during this handoff - it is not a guarantee against a counterparty acting in bad faith, and it does not replace your own judgment.
- Cancellation and expiry. Trades that aren't funded, paid, or resolved within the applicable windows may be automatically canceled and any escrowed funds returned to the seller, consistent with the trade's status at the time.
5. Keep Payment and Communication On-Platform
All trade-related communication must happen through Bitnnock's trade chat. You may not:
- share personal contact details (phone numbers, email addresses, messaging-app handles, or links to sites) inside a trade in order to move communication or payment off-platform;
- ask a counterparty to pay or be paid outside the payment method and instructions shared for that specific trade;
- use Bitnnock to facilitate a transaction that has nothing to do with the cryptocurrency trade itself.
We use automated filtering and human review to detect likely attempts to move trades off-platform, and messages or attachments may be blocked, flagged, or held for review as a result. Trades conducted off-platform are not eligible for escrow protection or dispute assistance from us, even if they originated from a Bitnnock offer.
6. Fees
Bitnnock may charge fees on trades, withdrawals, or other services, as shown to you before you confirm the relevant action. We may change our fees going forward; changes will apply to actions you take after the change takes effect, not retroactively.
7. Prohibited Conduct
In addition to the off-platform rule above, you agree not to:
- use Bitnnock for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, or any other illegal purpose, or to trade proceeds of crime;
- provide false, stolen, or misleading identity, payment, or verification information;
- initiate a chargeback, payment reversal, or dispute with your bank or payment provider for a payment you already confirmed as sent inside a trade, where the underlying trade completed as agreed;
- harass, threaten, or abuse another user, moderator, or member of our support team;
- manipulate reviews, ratings, or trust scores, including through fake accounts or coordinated activity;
- attempt to interfere with, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to Bitnnock's systems, or use bots or scripts to interact with the platform outside of any API we officially provide;
- circumvent trade limits, fees, or verification tiers by any means, including using another person's account.
We may investigate suspected violations and take action including warning you, canceling or reversing affected trades where possible, withholding funds pending investigation, suspending or closing your account, and reporting conduct to law enforcement or financial regulators where appropriate.
8. Disputes
If a buyer and seller disagree about whether payment was made or received, either party can open a dispute before escrow is released. Once a dispute is open:
- both parties should provide evidence (such as payment receipts, screenshots, or bank statements) through the trade chat or dispute tools;
- a Bitnnock moderator will review the evidence and the trade chat history and decide, in our reasonable judgment, whether to release the escrowed cryptocurrency to the buyer or return it to the seller;
- our decision on a dispute is final for purposes of that trade's escrow. Submitting false evidence or misrepresenting a trade during a dispute is a serious violation of these Terms.
9. Trust Scores, Reviews, and Reputation
After a trade completes, both parties may leave a rating and review, and we calculate reputation signals such as a trust score, completion rate, and average release/payment speed from your trading history. These are provided to help other users make informed decisions and do not constitute a guarantee about any user's future conduct. We may adjust, recalculate, or remove reviews or trust signals that we determine were manipulated, abusive, or based on a canceled or fraudulent trade.
10. Wallets, Deposits, and Withdrawals
Bitnnock provides you with a platform wallet used to hold cryptocurrency for trading, deposits, and withdrawals. You're responsible for double-checking deposit addresses, withdrawal addresses, and network selection before confirming a transaction - cryptocurrency transactions cannot generally be reversed, and we are not able to recover funds sent to an incorrect or unsupported address. We may apply withdrawal limits, delays, or additional verification steps for security and compliance purposes.
11. Understand the Risks of Digital Assets
Cryptocurrency prices are volatile and can rise or fall sharply in short periods. Trading carries real financial risk, including the possibility of losing some or all of the value you trade. Nothing on Bitnnock is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice, and we don't recommend any particular offer, price, or trading strategy. You should only trade with funds you can afford to put at risk, and consider speaking with a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
12. Intellectual Property
Bitnnock's name, logo, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any right to use our branding, and you may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the platform except as needed for your own normal, personal use of the service.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or close your account, or limit specific features, at any time if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, applicable law, or pose a risk to Bitnnock or other users - including during an active investigation. You may close your account at any time, subject to completing any open trades and resolving any outstanding balances. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive closure (including Sections 11, 14, 15, 16, and 17) will continue to apply.
14. Disclaimers
Bitnnock is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure, or that any counterparty you trade with will perform as agreed.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bitnnock and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost cryptocurrency value, arising from your use of the platform or a trade with another user - even if we've been advised of the possibility of those damages. Where liability can't be excluded under applicable law, our total liability to you for claims arising from these Terms or your use of Bitnnock is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the six months before the claim, or one hundred United States dollars (US$100).
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Bitnnock harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, a trade you enter into, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
17. Governing Law and Disputes with Bitnnock
These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a mandatory law of your own country of residence provides you with additional protections that cannot be contractually waived. Any dispute between you and Bitnnock that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, legal requirements, or business practices. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the platform or by email. Continuing to use Bitnnock after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

A note on this document. This Terms of Service is intended as a solid, platform-specific starting point covering how Bitnnock's escrow, verification, and dispute processes actually work. Cryptocurrency regulation varies significantly by country and changes often - we recommend having these Terms reviewed by a qualified attorney familiar with digital-asset and financial-services law in the jurisdictions where Bitnnock operates before relying on them as your final legal agreement.
